On 8 July 2026, FoodSafety4Africa , FCI4Africa, Uprise Food Safety Project and HealthyDiets4Africa will come together to co-organise the virtual World Food Safety Day Symposium 2026: “𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 – 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲”
The event will bring together researchers, policymakers, innovators, development partners, food industry actors and other food systems stakeholders to explore how research and innovation can support safer food systems across Africa.
The symposium will highlight practical tools, approaches and solutions developed through the four EU-funded projects, while encouraging dialogue, knowledge exchange and stronger collaboration to help reduce the burden of foodborne diseases.
