On May 25, 2026, APDC successfully completed the 10-week youth training program under the HD4A Project in Abuja, Nigeria. A total of 36 young people between the ages of 18 and 35 graduated from the program, including 20 participants in agribusiness and 16 in agro-processing. The graduation ceremony brought together nutrition health workers, local food vendors, school children, and actors along the agricultural value chain to celebrate these young changemakers.
To support immediate community impact, APDC provided startup inputs to the newly trained healthy diet advocates. The agro-processors received equipment and materials to start healthy food businesses, while the primary producers were given inputs to grow nutritious and underutilized crops. Through this support, the HD4A Living Lab is helping to fight malnutrition and strengthen local food systems. Congratulations to all the graduates as they begin their journey to promote healthy diets and nourish Africa.
